The Jordan Itinerary June 3rd to 9th 2024: The Jordan Explorer.



Day 1 - Welcome to Jordan. Arrive in Amman. Queen Alia International Airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay to recuperate after your flights and prepare for the busy Jordan adventure ahead. In the evening we will enjoy a group dinner to get to know each other.



Day 2 - Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Amman. This morning we head to Jerash, one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. We will have a local english speaking guide, and enter through Hadrian's Arch for a 2 hour guided tour of the ruins. After the guided tour, we'll have some free time to explore on our own, and then we will travel to Ajloun to visit Ajloun castle, which has some breath taking views of over the Jordan Valley. We will then return to Amman for overnight stay. Meal plan: (Breakfast and dinner)




Day 3 - Petra. After breakfast we will head to one of the new 7 wonders of the world, Petra, meet with guide for a 2-3 hour tour of the rose-red city of Petra. Walk the mile-long Siq passing shrines, tombs and carvings before exiting to the breathtaking sight of the Treasury. Walk the Street of Facades, passing the Roman Theatre to reach the Royal Tombs. See the Byzantine Church, Temple of the Winged Lions and Great Temple. At the museum your tour ends you will have time to spend the rest of the day exploring more of the city or climb to the Monastery and/or High Place of Sacrifice. Later in the evening, it’s time for a magical experience—Petra by Night. We start off by walking the entire Siq to the Treasury, lit with over 1,000 candles, once we arrive at the Treasury, there will be local Bedouins playing traditional Jordanian music. Its such a magical experience. We stay in Petra overnight. (No extra cost - Petra by Night is included in the price) Meal plan: (Breakfast and dinner)



Day 4 - Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum Jeep tour – Wadi Rum camp. This morning, you will have the choice to either return to Petra to continuing exploring the ruins of the city or drive a short distance to Little Petra. Little Petra provided the accommodation and eateries for the cameleers. See rare examples of Nabataean paintings on the ceilings. A short distance and easy walk from Little Petra is the remains of a Neolithic Village which dates back to 9,000-5,500 BC. We will then transfer to the beautiful desert valley of Wadi Rum, made famous by T E Lawrence. A chance to freshen up at our bubble tent campsite before we climb into the back of 4x4 jeep's for a 2 hour desert tour. As we make our way through the canyons and across the vast tracks of red sand, see ancient inscriptions, extraordinarily coloured sand dunes and majestic mountains. Return to your camp to watch the sunset before enjoying a traditional Jordanian dinner under the stars. Overnight Wadi Rum Camp in a bubble tent. Meal plan: (Breakfast and dinner)



Day 5 - Highly recommend getting up for sunrise in the desert. Then after breakfast, we will drive along the Kings' Highway to the 6th Century St George Church in Madaba to see the oldest known mosaic map of the Holy Lands. A short drive will then bring us to Mt Nebo where God permitted Moses a view of the Promised Land before he died. From the lookout we will be able to see Jericho and the Dead Sea. We will continue on our drive to the Dead Sea to check-in to our hotel for your overnight stay. The rest of the day is free-time to float in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea or laze by a freshwater swimming pool. At 420m below sea level the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth. Day 6 - Dead Sea Hotel - Amman City Tour - Amman Hotel. After breakfast, we will check out from our hotel at the Dead Sea, and make our way back Amman. When we arrive back we will do a tour of downtown Amman, visiting the Citadel and the Roman Theatre then to end the Jordan adventure we will have our last dinner in Amman, then transfer to our hotel in Amman for overnight.Meal plan: (Breakfast)



Day 7 - Amman Hotel - Amman airport for your departure flight. Time to say good bye. After breakfast, depending on your flight details, check-out from your hotel, then transfer to Queen Alia International airport for your departure flight. Airport transfer included. Meal plan: (Breakfast)



Total cost €1790 per person sharing



What's included:

All breakfasts and all dinners. All transfers as per itinerary with modern air conditioned vehicle. Professional English speaking guide for all entire tour. Petra by Night. Jeep tour in Wadi Rum for 2h. Traditional Bedouin dinner in Wadi Rum. All accommodation in 3* & 4* hotels including Bubble tents in Wadi Rum. All entrance fees. Mineral water in the bus


NOT included:

International flights. Travel insurance. Meals not listed in the itinerary. Any required PCR tests. Tips for guide and driver. Any extra activities and alcohol.


Fine print:

Please not itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. All rooms on all trips are shared, with 2 people in each room.


Terms and conditions:

If you are happy with the itinerary and want to go ahead. A deposit of €500 will be required to secure your booking within upon confirmation of spot. This deposit is non-refundable.


The balance of €1290 will be due 10 weeks before trip start date. (25th of March 2024) You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.


With regards to a refund: Please note the deposit of €500 is non-refundable. For the balance of your payment €1290, I can refund this minus your deposit up 10 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 10 weeks, and I cannot refund you.


I suggest you take out comprehensive travel-insurance when you book the tour that covers trip cancellations, that way should you have to cancel you are covered, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company.
