I like to MOVE IT, MOVE IT….Madagascar itinerary August 5th to 15th 2024:

Day 1 - 5th - Arrive in Antananarivo and transfer to the hotel to get some rest and recuperate after your long flights and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Antananarivo.


Day 2 - 6th Antananarivo – Morondava. Today we fly to Morondava (approx. flight time 1h15) Depending on flight arrival time, in the afternoon / sunset time we will visit the beach for sunset or watch from our rooftop bar. Overnight in Morondava.

Day 3 - 7th Morondava (Kirindy) This morning we will have an early start and be at the Famous Baobab Avenue for sunrise, after we will driving directly to Kirindy reserve for a guided visit there. We can expect to see lots of lemurs, different types of birds and reptile species as well as the famous baobab trees. We will have lunch locally and chill for a while before making our way back to visit the Famous Baobab Avenue for sunset, for some more epic photos (I know the best spots). Sunrise is a lot quieter than Sunset, but sunset is so beautiful there, making it one of the best times to visit regardless of crowds. Overnight in Morondava.

Day 4 - 8th Morondava We are going to start our morning after breakfast driving through Baobab Avenue again but this time to head for our half day Malagasy canoe tour, we will also catch our lunch, fresh crab anyone? After we will head back to Morondava, to chill and relax for the afternoon and hopefully catch another epic Malagasy sunset on the beach. Overnight in Morondava.

Day 5 - 9th - Morondava – Antananarivo Today is a travel day so we will leave Morondava and fly back to Antananarivo (1h15) transfer to our hotel and chill by the pool, have dinner at the hotel and overnight stay in Antananarivo.

Day 6 - 10th – Today we have a full day in Antananarivo, so we will do a half day tour of the city, we will visit the Queen’s palace, then a city tour of the capital and in the afternoon we will do some shopping for souvenirs and get the chance to pick up some of Madagascars famous vanilla, coffee and chocolate and other Malagasy crafts, overnight stay in Antananarivo.

Day 7 - 11th Antananarivo – Nosy Be Today we fly to the picturesque island of Nosy Be (1h30). Depending on arrival time hopefully we’ll get in some beach time and catch our first island sunset. Overnight stay in Nosy Be.

Day 8 - 12th Nosy Be After breakfast, we are going to visit the picturesque island of Nosy Iranja, the 8th most beautiful island in the world. Google it!!!. Nosy Iranja Be and Nosy Iranja Kely are two separate islands but when the tide is low it creates a passage of sand aka sand bank which joins these islands together, this has made this island famous throughout the world. We will sail across, go swimming and snorkelling as well as a nice lunch on the island. Overnight stay in Nosy Be.

Day 9 - 13th Nosy Be After breakfast at 8am we will depart for a half day guided visit to Lemuria Land conservation centre where you can have close encounters with lemurs and other animals. Also included is a short visit to the ylang-ylang flower distillery where perfume is made. In the afternoon we will have lunch on the way to visit Mont Passot for an incredible sunset from the mountains . Overnight stay in Nosy Be.

Day 10 - 14th Nosy Be Today is a full free day in Nosy Be. Optional activities such as quad biking, snorkelling, swimming, scuba diving and more can all be booked. So it's up to you how you would like to spend your last day on the beautiful island of Nosy Be. We will have a group farewell dinner at sunset. Overnight stay in Nosy Be.

Day 11 - 15th : Nosy Be – Home Today it’s time to say goodbye to Madagascar, transfer to Nosy Be airport for your international flight home or why not extent your holiday for a few more days.

*Please note arrival airport is Antananarivo airport and departure airport is Nosy Be airport*



Included: Services of a professional tour guide/driver, airport transport, transfers, 10 nights’ accommodation, 10 breakfasts, 2 lunchs, 3 internal flights, all mentioned entrance fees, Malagasy canoe tour, boat trip to Nosy Iranja, trip to Mont Passot, half day guided visit to Lemuria Land


NOT included: International flight to Antananarivo or departure international flight from Nosy Be, visa for entry €10 if less than 14 days, optional extras mentioned, travel insurance, meals not listed in the itinerary average cost per meal €3-€10, any required PCR tests, tips. Also food and drinks are inexpensive in Madagascar.


Fine print:

Please not itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. All rooms on all trips are shared, with 2 people in each room.


Terms and conditions:

If you are happy with the itinerary and want to go ahead. A deposit of €650 will be required to secure your booking and book flights within 5 days of confirming a place. This deposit is non-refundable.



The balance will be due 1st June 2024. (You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you)



***With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is required to book all 3 internal flights which are non-refundable or changeable. Also, to reserve accommodation, guide, transport, and reserves permits etc***



For the balance of your payment €2325, the tour company can refund this up 10 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 10 weeks, and I cannot refund you.


I suggest you take out comprehensive travel-insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should something happen, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company. Keep an eye on the excess required.
