Sold out! The South Africa Itinerary January 18th to 27th 2024: Vineyards and Penguin beaches:

Day 1 (18th) - Arrive in Cape Town and make your way to our hotel to get some rest and recuperate after your long flights and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Cape town.
Day 2 (19th) – Today is a great way to get an introduction to “the Mother City”, Cape Town. We will do a tour in the city and surrounding area. Starting off with a visit to Robben Island then Cape Town city tour visiting Bo-Kaap; Signal Hill; V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain. A big part of this tour is walking around the city with our guide getting to know the city, it's different cultures, history and geography. A highlight of the day is riding to the top of the famous Table Mountain in a cable car, for magnificent views over Table Bay, Robben Island, The Cape Peninsula and Lions Head. Overnight in Cape town.

Day 3 (20th) – Today after breakfast, is a full day visiting Cape Point, then Boulders Beach, Cape of Good Hope, Hout Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay. Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders and crystal-clear waters. The area is home to one of the largest breeding colonies of African penguins. We can observe the penguins close up from elevated boardwalks. You won’t believe the beautiful scenery you will experience in one day on the Cape Peninsula. The Cape of Good Hope, is the furthest southwestern point in Africa. We will have time for hiking to the Cape Point lighthouse if you like. We will then take the coastal road to the Hout Bay harbour to take in the beautiful harbour scenes. On our way back we will take the scenic route back to Cape Town via the Atlantic seaside suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay and see the Twelve Apostles. Overnight in Cape town

Day 4 (21st) – Today is wine day doing the Franschhoek Wine Tram hop-on hop-off tour. Something I’m sure you are all excited about The Western Cape of South Africa is home to more than 500 wineries, and today we will visit a few of our favourites in the Franschhoek Valley on board the famous wine tram. The tram is such a fun way to travel to the vineyards. Afterwards we will return to Cape town when we have had enough wine of course. Overnight in Cape town

Day 5 (22nd) – After breakfast, we will begin our journey along the famous Garden Route. Our first stop of the day will be to Mossel Bay and then in the afternoon we will enjoy a 3 hour game drive at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, the reserve offers a real Garden Route safari experience where we will enjoy close encounters with Rhinoceros, Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffe, the rare Black Impala, Golden Wildebeest, Mountain Zebra, Hippos and many more. The game reserve is 4200ha and comprises of over 26 different species of animals and over 200 resident bird species. Overnight stay in Sedgefield where we are on staying next to the beach, so an opportunity for rooftop sunsets cocktails.

Day 6 (23rd) –After breakfast we will have some free time to explore Knysna ourselves then in the afternoon, we will depart on a guided township experience through Emzini Township with local guides. Then to end the day we will embark on a sunset boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon for the ultimate sundowner experience. Overnight stay in Sedgefield

Day 7 (24th) – After breakfast, we will travel to Wilderness on the Garden Route. We will explore Wilderness National Park with some canoes. Enjoy a paddle up the Touw River through indigenous forest, enjoying the abundance of bird life. After about 40 minutes, the canoes will be left for a 2 km hike along a boardwalk, which will take us to a lovely waterfall and rock pools. We will then enjoy an afternoon at leisure in Sedgefield/Knysna. Overnight stay in Sedgefield.

Day 8 (25th) –After breakfast, it’s off to Tsitsikamma National Park. On route we will stop at Bloukrans Bridge to view the world’s highest bungee jump bridge (216 meters). There is plenty of time for the adventure seekers among us to test their courage and do the bungee jump. The afternoon will be spent in Tsitsikamma National Park with its unique combination of indigenous forest and beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. The park has a wide choice of activities for all, including hiking, crossing a suspension bridge and swimming. Overnight stay in Sedgefield. (Optional extra 216m Bloukrans bungee jump price pp R1490)

Day 9 (26th) – After breakfast we travel back Cape Town via Mossel bay. Along the way the more adventurous among us can try the optional extra of tandem skydiving. In the afternoon we travel to Cape Town.Overnight in Cape town. (Optional extras - 10,000 feet tandem skydive, approx R 3100)

Day 10 (27th) - It's time to end our Cape town adventure and say farewell to each other. Group airport drop off to Cape town airport.

Included: Services of a professional tour guide/driver, air-conditioned transport, 9 nights’ accommodation, 9 breakfast and 3 dinners, return table mountain tickets, entrance to Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, entrance to penguin colony at Boulders Beach, entrance to Wilderness National Park, canoeing in Wilderness National Park, sunset lagoon cruise, township experience in Knysna, 2-3 Hour open vehicle 4x4 game viewing safari, entrance to Tsitsikamma National Park, Franschhoek Wine Tram Explorer Tour.
NOT included: International flights, airport transfer, visa for entry, optional extras mentioned, travel insurance, meals not listed in the itinerary, any required PCR tests, tips.
If you are happy with the itinerary and want to go ahead. A deposit of €500 will be required to secure your booking within 5 days of saying you want the place.
The balance will be due 9th of November 2023.
You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.
With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is required to book all excursions and accommodation which are non-refundable or changeable as it is high season in SA and safari company requires it to book the park permits etc
For the balance of your payment €1385, I can refund this up 8 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 8 weeks, and I cannot refund you.
I suggest you take out fully comprehensive travel-insurance that covers trip cancellations, that way should something happen, you will get a full pay out from your insurance company. Keep an eye on the excess required.
