Day 01 – Mar 29 (Sun): Welcome to Beijing
Touchdown in Beijing! After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, our local guide will be waiting to greet you and escort you to our hotel. The rest of the day is ours to settle in, relax, or head out for a wander and start soaking up the buzzing energy of China’s capital city. Later on we will all meet for our first dinner as a group. Overnight stay in Beijing.

Day 02 – Mar 30 (Mon): The Great Wall + Hutong Adventure
Today is a true bucket list moment! We’re heading out to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, where we’ll take a round-trip cable car ride to soak in the incredible views. On the way back, we’ll make a quick photo stop at the Olympic Stadium. Then it’s time to dive deeper into local life with a rickshaw ride through the historic Hutong alleys and visit a traditional courtyard home. Then back to our hotel for an overnight stay in Beijing.

Day 03 – Mar 31 (Tue): History + Hidden Temples
Start the morning in the iconic Tiananmen Square, before stepping inside the Forbidden City to explore centuries of Chinese imperial history. Lunch is a treat - an à la carte experience with authentic local dishes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the peaceful Yonghe (Lama) Temple and the beautiful Temple of Heaven. Overnight stay in Beijing.

Day 04 – Apr 01 (Wed): Summer Palace + Train to Xi’an
This morning, we’ll explore the tranquil lakes, gardens, and pathways of the Summer Palace. Then it’s all aboard a high-speed train to Xi’an (approx. 5 hours). Once we arrive, we’ll head straight to our hotel to settle in. The rest of the day is ours to settle in, relax, or head out for a wander if you choose to. Overnight stay in Xi'an. Day 05 – Apr 02 (Thu): Terracotta Warriors + Mini Clay Masterpiece
Today is a huge highlight! We’ll visit the incredible Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and even stop by the home of the local villager who discovered them. Get creative afterwards - you’ll get to make your own mini warrior to take home! Later, we’ll visit the serene Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and wander the vibrant Great Tang All Day Mall.

Day 06 – Apr 03 (Fri): Xi’an to Shanghai + Muslim Quarter Bites
This morning we’ll visit City Wall Park, the Ancient City Wall, and the stunning Great Mosque. After a delicious local lunch in the Muslim Quarter, we’ll catch a flight to Shanghai (approx. 2 hours). Upon arrival, we’ll transfer straight to our hotel and relax for the evening in buzzing Shanghai

Day 07 – Apr 04 (Sat): Culture, Cuisine & The Bund Get ready for a full day of exploring! We’ll start at the Shanghai Museum, stroll through the serene Yuyuan Garden, and then enjoy an upscale à la carte lunch featuring Shanghai and Cantonese flavors. In the afternoon, we’ll cruise the Huangpu River for epic skyline views and explore the famous Bund on foot. We’ll wrap up with a wander through Tianzifang’s lively alleys filled with art, shops, and cafés. Overnight stay in Shanghai.

Day 08 – Apr 05 (Sun): Suzhou
This morning after breakfast we will drive about 1.5 hours to Suzhou. Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and take a tricycle ride through Suzhou Old Town. In the afternoon, visit the Tongli Ancient Town and explore the Retreat and Reflection Garden (Tuisi Garden). After the day’s touring, we will return to our hotel in Shanghai. Overnight stay in Shanghai.

Day 09 – Apr 06 (Mon): Free Day in Shanghai
Your last full day is completely free! Dive deeper into Shanghai, hit the shops, sip cocktails with a view, or just soak up the atmosphere however you want. Overnight stay in Shanghai.

Day 10 – Apr 07 (Tue): Departure from Shanghai
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye. After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home- leaving with new memories, new friends, and maybe even a mini warrior to treasure.

The itinerary may be subject to small changes due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. All rooms on our trips are shared, with two people per room. We’ll match you with an adventure buddy, giving you the perfect chance to make new friends! To keep things fresh, you’ll switch roommates every couple of nights and connect with someone new.
If you are satisfied with the proposed itinerary and wish to proceed, a deposit of €500 will be necessary to confirm your reservation. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable for various reasons. By making the deposit, you are agreeing to these terms. The non-refundable nature of the deposit is essential due to the immediate planning and costs associated with securing your spot on the tour, I immediately begin the process of planning and preparing for your journey. These preparations often involve upfront costs that are incurred from the moment your booking is confirmed. In addition, by requiring a non-refundable deposit, it aims to ensure that all participants are committed to the trip.
The balance of €1875 will be due 10 weeks before trip start date (18th of Jan 2026). You can make the payments in instalments after the deposit is paid if that suits you.
With regards to a refund: Your deposit is non-refundable. For the balance of your payment, I maybe able to *refund this up 10 weeks before the trip should you have an emergency and need to cancel. Anything closer than 10 weeks, and I cannot refund you. *We ask all travelers to get fully comprehensive travel insurance for this trip so, in the case of an unexpected cancellation, you will be covered! :) Because we book this trip based on a set number of travelers & invoices are paid by us 10 weeks before travel, I cannot offer full refunds within that window.
